The Army Apprentices College was a college system in the United Kingdom that offered military training, education and common core skills, leadership and adventurous training, character development and trade training.
A Boys' Technical School was established on 28 February 1924.
Five years later in 1929 it was renamed Army Technical School (Boys).
Recruits in the 1930s joined as Apprentice Tradesmen at age 14 or 15, and usually spent three to four years at the school before being posted to one of the Army's technical corps (mainly Royal Artillery, Royal Engineers, Royal Army Service Corps and Royal Tank Regiment).
In 1947, new schools opened in Harrogate and Taunton and (together with Chepstow and Arborfield) they were collectively renamed as Army Apprentices Schools.
In February 1965 the School became the Army Apprentice College.
The College closed on 11 June 1994.
