Guardia Civil, Spain's national police force, organized along military lines and dedicated mainly to maintaining order in rural areas and patrolling borders and roads.
Andalusia (Andalucía) is the southernmost autonomous community in Peninsular Spain, located in the south of the Iberian Peninsula, in southwestern Europe.
It is the most populous and the second-largest autonomous community in the country.
The territory is divided into eight provinces: Almería, Cádiz, Córdoba, Granada, Huelva, Jaén, Málaga, and Seville.

Emblem of Andalusia: It bears the Pillars of Hercules, the ancient name given to the promontories that flank the entrance to the Strait of Gibraltar. The figure of the mythical Greek hero Heracles (Latin: Hercules), son of Zeus and the mortal Alcmena, appears between the columns. He is seen seizing and taming two lions, each representing the power of animal instinct, above the legend: "ANDALUCÍA POR SÍ, PARA ESPAÑA Y LA HUMANIDAD" (Andalusia by herself, for Spain and for Humankind). An arc joins the two columns with the Latin inscription: "DOMINATOR HERCULES FUNDATOR" (Lord Hercules is the Founder). On green and white background, reflecting the Andalusian anthem.
