Solid centre, white metal helmet or forage cap badge for the South African Constabulary, South Africa. Badges were worn on the front of the helmet or forage cap. Worn from 1902 to 1908.
The SAC existed from 22 October 1900 to 2 June 1908 and policed the Transvaal (old ZAR) and Orange River Colony (old Orange Free State). The SAC was created by Robert Baden-Powell, the founder of the Boy Scouts.
Used, but good condition with both lugs intact.
