South African Constabulary hat badge, 2nd type, South Africa, 1902-1908 & three buttons.

1. Solid centre, white metal Stetson hat badge for the South African Constabulary, South Africa. Badges were worn on the left side of the Stetson or similar headgear. The 2nd pattern in brass or white metal, with King Edward VII crown, was worn from 1902 to 1908.
2. Three (3) SAC brass buttons. (a.) Tunic jacket button manufactured by: Army & Navy Coop. Society LD. (b.) One tunic pocket button manufactured by: E. Sillwell & Son. (c.) Other pocket button shows no maker�s mark.
The SAC existed from 22 October 1900 to 2 June 1908 and policed the Transvaal (old ZAR) and Orange River Colony (old Orange Free State). The SAC was created by Robert Baden-Powell, the founder of the Boy Scouts.

All in used, but good condition with all lugs intact.
